This notice explains what personal data Sizetest collects, why, who receives it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. You can compare products without an account, without giving us your email address and without accepting any optional cookies.

Who we are

Sizetest (“we”, “us”) is responsible for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email robzaki30@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

• Technical data. To deliver the site and protect it from abuse, our servers process your IP address and basic request details. For rate limiting we store only a one-way hash of your IP address, for about 10 minutes. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs for security. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure service.
• Searches with no result. When a search finds no matching model, we record the search text, the category, the time and your browser language so we can decide which models to add. Please do not type personal information into the search box. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the catalog.
• Email reminders. If you ask to be told when a model becomes available, we store your email address, your search and the reminder status, and send a confirmation email. Nothing is active until you confirm. We use your email only for the reminder you asked for, never for marketing. Legal basis: your consent.
• Hand size and screen calibration. These stay in your browser. They are not sent to us and are not included in share links.

Providing personal data is never required to use Sizetest. Without an email address we simply cannot send you a reminder. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that affects you.

Cookies and your choices

On your first visit we ask for your choices. Optional categories stay off unless you switch them on, and you can change or withdraw them at any time through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the comparison page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before.

• Necessary. A ts_consent cookie stores your choices for up to 1 year. A 12-hour sign-in cookie is used only by the site administrator. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics (optional). We count completed comparisons and clicks on retailer links, with the category and number of models compared. Our server forwards these events to PostHog with a random identifier that changes on every event. Your browser does not contact PostHog, and we never send searches, email addresses or hand measurements.
• Advertising (optional). On desktop we may show one ad from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ personalized ads at www.aboutads.info. Google’s use of data is described at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• Affiliate tracking (optional). With your consent, links to retailers include affiliate tracking, so we may earn a commission if you buy something. Without consent we use plain, untracked links. Once you leave Sizetest, the retailer’s and affiliate network’s own privacy policies apply.
• Availability notifications (optional). A ts_inbox cookie with a random identifier lets this browser receive in-site notices when a model you searched for is added. It lasts 90 days. Switching this off deletes the cookie and the notices linked to it.

We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because there is no common standard for them. Instead, no optional cookie is set and no optional provider is contacted unless you have agreed.

Who receives your data

We share data only with providers that help us run Sizetest:

• our hosting and storage providers, which store the site data;
• our email-delivery provider, which sends reminder emails;
• PostHog, for analytics, if you allow analytics;
• Google, for advertising, if you allow advertising. Google may collect information about your activity over time and across different websites.
• retailers and affiliate networks, when you follow a retailer link.

PostHog and Google may process data in the United States. Where data leaves the EU/EEA or the UK, the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) or on Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep data

• Rate-limiting data: about 10 minutes.
• Consent cookie: up to 1 year. Notification cookie: 90 days.
• Searches with no result: while they help us plan the catalog, and at most 24 months. After 90 days they are no longer linked to any browser.
• Unconfirmed reminder requests: they lapse after 24 hours and are deleted within 30 days.
• Confirmed reminders: until the reminder is sent or cancelled, then deleted within 30 days, and in any case after at most 24 months.
• Data held by Google, PostHog or retailers: according to their own policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, including cancelling an email reminder, email robzaki30@gmail.com from the address concerned. We reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the country where you live or work.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections and access is limited to the operator and authorized services. Sign-in and confirmation links are stored only as one-way hashes.

Children

Sizetest is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us their email address, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

We will update the effective date above when this notice changes. If we make a material change, for example a new optional provider, we will ask for your cookie choices again.
